Nabora Martinez

Nabora Martinez, 77, a longtime Warden resident passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012 at LakeRidge Care Center surrounded by loving family. Holy Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Warden. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Burial will follow at PioneerMemorial Gardens. Nabora was born in Repueblo De Oriente, NL, Mexico to Demetrio and Modesta (Suarez) Martinez. She was raised and educated in Repueblo De Oriente. She married Cleofas Martinez on November 23, 1951 in Los Ramones. In 1955 they moved to California and in 1974 they moved to Warden, where they had lived since. Nabora was a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Warden. She was known to be very sociable and friendly. She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening and loved to spend time with family and friends.

Nabora is survived by her children, Gerardo Martinez, San Juan, Texas, Jaime Martinez, Madera, California, Estella Escamilla, Warden, Dionesia Pruneda, Warden, Thomas Martinez, Warden, Martha Rodriguez,Dinuba, California, Jose Eugenio Martinez, Warden, Yolanda Gutierrez, Connell, Raul Martinez, Warden, Deanna Guerrero, Moses Lake; one brother, Pablo Martinez, California; two sisters, Amparo Castillo, California and Eudelia Martinez, Texas; 35 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Cleofas Martinez; one son, Jose Luis Martinez; one brother, Facundo Martinez; and one sister, Lazara Martinez.
