RITZVILLE - Lind-Riztville-Sprague (LRS) found little resistance from the Panthers as the Broncos won a lopsided 40-7 crossover game at home against Asotin Friday.

The outcome could've been much worse for the Panthers as LRS had two touchdowns called back on penalties. Dylan Hartz got things rolling for the Broncos with a 7-yard TD run (Matt Leffel kick) to give LRS a 7-0 lead. It was the lone score of the first quarter of play.

Cort Ruzicka punched it in from 7-yards out (PAT), and Hartz scored his second touchdown of the game on a 7-yard dash (PAT) as the Broncos pushed their lead to 21-0 and end the first half scoring.

LRS hung 13 points on the board in the third quarter on a Ruzicka 1-yard run (kick failed), and a Ryan Whitmore 16-yard pick-six (PAT) to make it 34-0 in favor of the home team.

The Panthers avoided the shutout with a 22-yard score (PAT) to close the gap to 34-7.

Bridger Smith's 13-yard run (kick failed) rounded out the scoring for the game as the Broncos won going away, 40-7.

Conner O'Neill led the rushing attack for LRS with 84 yards on 15 carries. Hartz carried the rock seven times for 70 yards, and Smith finished with 65 yards on four carries.

The win over Asotin sets up a first round loser out state home game Friday night at 7 p.m against Tekoa-Oaksdale/Rosalia.
