Volunteers sought for substance rehab board

EPHRATA – The Grant County Board of Commissioners is looking for interested citizens to serve on the Grant County Prevention and Recovery Center’s (PARC) Advisory Board.

Board members act in an advisory role in the development of programs and policies concerning chemical dependency treatment and prevention.

The Board makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding community needs, program direction and budget. Members participate in the development of a comprehensive treatment and prevention plan and provide advocacy and mobilization around substance abuse issues.

The Board also provides oversight to the County’s Community Mobilization against Substance Abuse program. The term limit is three years, and there is no compensation for serving on this volunteer Board.

Meetings are held bi-monthly on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Grant Integrated Services Building located at 840 E. Plum, Moses Lake. Special meetings are scheduled on an as needed basis.
