Reader predicts economic crisis

Wake up America. Our present president is systematically destroying America. He has increased the national debt by nearly $5 trillion, more than all of the presidents from George Washington to Ronald Reagan combined! He has pushed the United States to the edge of the economic cliff and, if given four more years in the White House, he will push us over the cliff into fiscal oblivion. The resulting economic catastrophe will be of such a magnitude as to dwarf the agonies of the '08-'09 recession and make the pain of the Great Depression of the '30s seem like child's play.

His ill-advised economic policies will bring on inflation in the six to 10 percent range and soaring prices on all commodities from clothing, to food, to energy and health care. When our foreign investors witness the resulting chaos, they will pull their funds out of the U.S. and the formerly great nation will find itself unable to continue to add to the national debt because there will be no buyers for U.S. debt. Food lines will form across the nation and unemployment will climb into the 20 percent range. If you think these ideas are too radical, keep this letter and contact me in four years so we can compare these statements with the real-world realities we will have suffered through. We only have one week left to save this nation. Get out and vote, and give Romney an opportunity to apply his well-demonstrated turn-around skills to turning this country around.
