MOSES LAKE - An allegedly illegal U-turn caused a two-vehicle collision on the state Route 17 Stratford Road off ramp.

On Monday, about 2 p.m. Armida A. Garcia, 39, Moses Lake, was driving a 2002 Ford Windstar south on SR 17 at Stratford, according to the Washington State Patrol. She reportedly attempted to make a U-turn across the other lane, where she collided with a 1992 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Isela Cantu, 24, of Moses Lake.

Cantu was reportedly injured and transported to Samaritan Hospital. Cantu's passengers, 27-year-old Danny G. Aswell and 2-year-old Jocelin Miers, both from Moses Lake, were reportedly slightly injured but were not transported to the hospital.

Garcia was uninjured in the crash.

Charges of second degree negligent driving are anticipated against Garcia, according to the state patrol.
