Warden boys beat Quincy

WARDEN - Freshman Conner Haynes shot an 86 and Trent Bates finished with 90 to help lead the Cougars to a win over the Jacks on the links at Sage Hills Monday.

Warden finished with a team score of 381. Quincy was 45 strokes off the pace with 425.

"This was our opening match and the weather was rather cool," coach Steve Tolley said. " But the guys did a very good job for the first time out this season."

Caleb Caballero (98), Jordan Manville (107), Wyatt Newhouse (122) and Saxon Swindler (122) rounded out the scoring for Warden

The Jacks were led by Jeremy Guthus ,who turned in a 96. Josh Schwint  shot a 102, Alexis Pio (111) ,Blake Van Diest (120), Gabe Hernandez (123), and  Aaron Lindell  finished with 133.

The Cougars are back in action March 26 when they travel to the Black Rock Country Club for the Grandview Invite.
