Saturday caucuses include straw polls
MOSES LAKE - Washington State will have a say in the Presidential election process this Saturday, March 3, through a Presidential straw poll conducted by the State’s Republican Party at all precinct caucuses.
“The entire nation will be watching us this weekend, wanting to know what we think here in Washington,” commented Dani Bolyard, chair of the Grant County Republican Party. “We matter this year.”
Saturday’s caucuses, set to begin at 10 a.m. at various locations around the state, will ask party participants to elect delegates from their precincts to county conventions, to develop platforms on the party’s foundational beliefs, and to vote in a statewide straw poll to be released to the media Saturday evening.
Anyone interested in participating is asked to determine his or her precinct by calling the county elections office. They can also check their voter identification card, and then consult the Grant County Republican Party website (www.grantcounty-gop.com) for the caucus location of that precinct.
The party may also be reached by calling 509-707-3367.
