WENATCHEE - John Grisdale, commissioner of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) and Dr. Duncan Wray, president of the league's expansion committee, will be in Wenatchee this weekend and will take in Saturday's game between the Wild and Fresno Monsters.

The organization wants to showcase its tremendous fan base to Commissioner Grisdale and Dr. Wray.

"We believe we will be able to answer any questions that Commissioner Grisdale and Dr. Wray have during their visit," said Bill Stewart, president and managing partner of the Wild, "and we hope to demonstrate that we have a viable product that is capable of operating at a high level in the BCHL right now."

The Wild want their fans to do what they always do: come to this weekend's games in droves, wear Wild colors proudly, bring signs and cheer louder than ever.

Dare devil/entertainer Robbie Knievel, son of the late Evel Knievel, will make a celebrity appearance Saturday. He will participate in one of the ceremonial puck drops to start the series and will sign autographs for fans during one of the intermissions.

Saturday's game, which will face off at 7:05 p.m., is also Hispanic Heritage Night, which will include a special performance by Mariachi Estrella de Mexico. The game is being sponsored by El Porton Family Restaurant.

Sunday's game, which will begin at 5:05 p.m., is Faith and Family Night. Christian rock band The Andrew Thompson Project will put on a pregame performance at the Town Toyota Center. In addition, the first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive a free pair of Wenatchee Wild-Tony's Market knit glove.

Ticket discounts are available for all churches and youth groups for Sunday's game. Please call the Wild ticket office at 509-888-PUCK (7825) for details. Fans are also reminded that the Wild are also conducting a canned food drive Sunday to benefit Serve Wenatchee Valley. Any canned good donations are greatly appreciated.

Fans can purchase tickets by calling 509-888-PUCK (7825), by visiting the Town Toyota Center Box Office or by logging on to http://tickets.wenatcheewild.com/.
