Tire maker may still seek local property

| June 29, 2012 6:00 AM

MOSES LAKE -The lack of a second prevented a proposed revocation Tuesday night that would have rescinded an earlier agreement with Blackstone OTR.

The majority of Moses Lake City Council members declined a vote Tuesday night that would overturn a previous measure allowing Blackstone OTR - or off-the-road tires - to continue building in the area.

"They were granted this permission to build upon an unplatted property about a year ago," city manager Joe Gavinski said.

The council did not rescind Tuesday night, and they're essentially agreed to have the platting - or subdivision - finished before taking any action.
