Comments sought in BBCC accreditation process

MOSES LAKE - Comments are being solicited from district patrons on the qualifications of Big Bend Community College to be accredited as a college. Comments must be written, signed and submitted by Sept. 3.

The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities is the accrediting organization and is soliciting the "third party" comment on the college's programs and class offerings.

They must be submitted to the commission at 8060 165th Avenue NE, Suite 100, Redmond, WA 98502.

Any comments are shared with college officials, and they will have a chance to respond.

The college will submit a self-evaluation report, and commission officials will visit the college in October to conduct their review of that report. Comprehensive review of accreditation occurs about every 10 years.
