Phelps atop Crescent Bar Men's Field Day

CRESCENT BAR – George Phelps fired a net 65 to take first place in the first division at the Crescent Bar Golf Course Men's Field Day on June 13.

The field day consisted of skill games of chipping, putting, closest-to-the-pin, accurate drive and low net golf. The competition was broken into two divisions.

Low net division I:

First place with a score of 65 was George Phelps.

Second place with a score of 66 was Tom Harris.

Third place with a score of 67 was Bill Parker.

Low net division II:

First place was a tie with a score of 71 between Dave Hayes and Jerry Hoene.

Third place was a tie with a score of 72 between Al Barnes and Burt Lucas.

KP hole No. 3/12:

Division I – First  place was Dean Ezkorn at a distance of 10-2.

Division II – First  place was Al Barnes at a distance of 36-2.

KP hole No. 5/14

Division I – First place was Rich Longwell at a distance of 28-3.

Division II – First place was Jerry Hoene at a distance of 4-4.

Chipping Contest:

Division I – First place was Orlan Wood. Second place was Don Demuth.

Division II - First place was Jerry Hoene. Second place was John Hall.

Long and accurate Drive:

Division I – The winner was Don DeMuth.

Division II – The winner was Bob Wells.

KP Second Shot hole No. 6:

The winner was Don DeMuth.

Long putt hole No. 9/18:

Division I – First place was Larry Aliment. Second place was Earl Wolf.

Division II – First place was Al Barnes. Second place was Jack Quealey.

Birdies:

Hole No. 3 Dean Ezkorn and Jerry Riddle. Hole No. 5 Tom Harris and Jerry Hoene. Hole No. 10 John Kiehl.
