| June 25, 2012 6:00 AM

EPHRATA- A warrant in the amount of $10,000 has been issued for the arrest of Theodore Mahr by the Grant County District

Court.

Mahr was recently charged by Grant County Prosecutor D. Angus Lee with Theft and three counts of Unlawful Practice of Law.

According to the Washington State Bar Association, Mahr was disbarred in December 2010 for conduct involving false

statements to a tribunal, conversion of client funds, and dishonesty.  Mahr forged a client’s signature on a petition and failed to refund to clients their unearned fees, the bar association says. Mahr’s license had been suspended once before.

“We have received reports that Mahr has been attempting to engage in these activities while posing as a lawyer at the Moses Lake library,” Lee said. “He is said to be using the assumed name of Tom Bar.”

Anyone with information about Mahr's whereabouts should contact the authorities. Anyone who has been a victim of this type of

activity should contact the local authorities or send a letter regarding their incident to the Prosecutor’s Office.
