MOSES LAKE - Moses Lake police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Tuesday at the Bank of America on East Third Avenue downtown.

Bank employees reportedly told police a black male entered the bank at approximately 1:30 p.m. and produced a note demanding money, according to Moses Lake Police Chief Dean Mitchell, who said the note may have implied the man was armed, but no weapon was seen.

The alleged robber obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot, Mitchell said.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 30 to 34 years of age, measuring six feet tall and weighing approximately 240 pounds. He reportedly had facial hair and was wearing glasses, a neck brace and a large bandage on his face. The man was wearing blue jeans, a dark shirt with black collar and a ball cap, according to police.

The individual matches the description of a suspect who has reportedly robbed two other banks on the west side of the state, Mitchell stated. On Tuesday, a black man wearing a similar bandage on his face robbed a Mount Vernon Bank of America, then on Thursday the same suspect robbed a Key Bank in Newcastle.

Anyone who may have seen the suspect, is asked to contact Sgt. Mike Williams at 509-764-3887.
