Paula R. Garcia, our beloved mother passed away on Saturday June 16, 2012 at her home in Moses Lake, Washington surrounded by her loving and caring family.  Paula was born in Pearsall, Texas April 28, 1932, the daughter of the late Filiberto Rodriguez and Octaviana Castillo. She was a life-long resident of Moses Lake, Washington.

She was united in marriage to Marcelino R. Garcia on March 13, 1954 in Pearsall, Texas.  He preceded her in death December 11, 2010. They were married for 56 wonderful years.  In 1959, Paula and her husband moved to Moses Lake, Washington, made a life and raised six children. Paula was a devoted member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Moses Lake.  She loved and enjoyed having her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren around her.  She enjoyed sewing, watching her novellas, collecting figurines especially angels and all types of souvenirs.  One of her favorite pastimes was going to the casino with her late husband and close friends.  She was a huge FAN of the late great, Elvis Presley.

Paula is survived by her children, Juan, Julie (Joe) Martinez, Meda (Martin) Sandoval, Marcelino Jr. (Becky), Mark (Victoria) Garcia and Leticia (Corinne) Garcia,  12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; Her sisters Felipa (Mingo) Rocha, Juanita Vasquez, brothers Martin, Pablo (Ramona), and Carols (Juanita) Rodriguez and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Cleofas, Frank "Poncho" and Filiberto "Beto" Rodriguez.

Holy Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday June 19th at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday June 20th at Our Lady of Fatima.
