Crescent Bar farmers market seeks vendors

CRESCENT BAR – Grant County small plot farmers and vegetable gardeners may find a friend in the Crescent Bar Farmers Market, which is being developed for a Fourth of July launch.
“What we need is vendors,” organizer JoAnn Hanson said. “We have a couple, but they don't have enough stuff.
Fourth of July, which will be celebrated at the island community on July 7, is a big weekend at Crescent Bar. Visitors swell the population to 5,000 individuals and beyond. They spend most of their time playing and picnicking, and there are no fresh foods outlets.
The new market will be called Market By The River. It will be held in the central park near the tennis courts, most likely from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
