NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE

Grant County has issued a Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (WAC Chapter 197-11) for the following project:  To re-route pedestrian trail and access road, and construct a pedestrian tunnel under access road.

Grant County has issued a Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (WAC Chapter 197-11) for the following project:  To re-route pedestrian trail and access road, and construct a pedestrian tunnel under access road.  This will result in the excavation of 3,361 cubic yards of earth material.  The project site is 754 Silica Rd. NW, Quincy, WA (The Gorge Amphitheater), located approximately six (6) miles west of the City of George, in a portion of S. 31, T. 19 N., R. 23 E., W.M., Grant Co., WA. Parcel #s 20-1525-001, 20-1525-002.  After a review of a completed Environmental Checklist and other information on file with the Planning Department, Grant County has determined that this proposal does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment as conditioned.  Copies of the DNS (File #12-5675) are available at no charge from the Grant County Planning Department, 457 1st Ave NW, PO Box 37, Ephrata, WA 98823, (509)754-2011.  Office hours:  8 am-12 noon, 1-5 pm, M-F.  The public is invited to comment on this DNS by submitting written comments to Tyler Lawrence, Associate Planner at the above address no later than 5 pm on June 29, 2012.
