Prinzens, Wellses post 57.2 in first mixed scramble

CRESCENT BAR – The team of Wes and Carol Prinzin and Bob and Donna Wells shot the low score of the day, at 57.2, on June 3 in the first mixed scramble of the golf season at the Crescent Bar Golf Course.

Forty-eight golfers participated. The field was broken into two flights, Division I and Division II. The competition was low net for four person mixed teams (two men and two ladies).

There were also team side games such as closest-to-the-pin on hole  No. 3/12 for ladies and hole No. 5/14 for men, long put on hole No 9/18 and least team putts for the 18 holes.

The Winners were:

Division I

First place was won by the team of Jerry and Eileen Hoene, Mary Woolverton and John Kiehl with a low net score of 59.7.

Second place was won by the team of Chuck Muller, Ronna McGhee, Mavis Bennett and Jerry Riddle with a low net score of 60.6.

Division II

First place was won by the team of Wes and Carol Prinzin, and Bob and Donna Wells with a low net score of 57.2

Second place was won by the team of Bill and Jackie Parker, Wendy Smith and Bill Sprague with a low net score of 59.0.

Ladies' KP: At 11-4 the team of Jan and Tom Harris and Dick and Margo Campbell.

Men’s KP: At 6-5 the team of Gail and Chuck Motzkus and Elke and Rich Longwell.

Least Putts for 18 Holes: At 22 total putts the team of Nadene and Larry Ward and Burt  and Marion Lucas.

Long Putt: At 14-10 the team of Margaret Linder, Dean Etzkorn and Roy and Lyn Murray.
