Manta Rays swim well at first meet

WENATCHEE - More than 40 swimmers from the Moses Lake Manta Rays competed against 800 swimmers that attended the Apple Capital Invitational Swim Meet in Wenatchee June 1-3.

Several outstanding performances were turned in by the Manta Rays including first place finishes by Brenden Eslick in the 15 and over 800 free style and 200 individual medley, Amber Garrett (15 and over 200 IM), and Zachary Washburn  (8 and under) in the 50 free and 50 butterfly events.

Twenty swimmers from the meet qualified for the Inland Empire Championships that will be held at the end of July. Representing the Manta Rays are Kaelan Connacher, Cora Dana, Brenden Eslick, Addison Fair, Anna Fair, Amber Garrett, Joelle Garrett, Kelly Garrett, Noah Heaps, Grace Hochstatter, Reid Jackson, Dallin Fairbanks, Abby Johnston, Zack Johnston, Eric Kemmper, Jon Ovregaard, Tristiane Randall, Megan Washburn, Chris Vidrine, and Zachary Washburn.
