Thank you for providing us with papers this year! As we talked about earlier in the school year, I have some short paragraphs from students on how they used the paper in the classroom. These were some examples that mentioned different reasons for enjoying the newspapers. I can tell you that they weren't overly excited at the beginning of the year, but they have come to really look forward to receiving the paper once a week.

I think the kids loved having something other than their library book to read this year. This donation enabled us to have some very good discussions about current events, concerns and even what Garfield was up to this week. Most importantly, the kids enjoyed having an opportunity to raise their grades by writing article summaries.

I appreciate your desire to help provide learning opportunities in schools and hope you are able to continue the NIE Program for students.
