MLSD 161 Major Plat: Moses Lake School District 161 submitted an application for a major subdivision on May 22, 2012. Additional required information was submitted on May 31 & June 1. The application was determined to be complete and ready for review on June 4, 2012. The proposal is to plat 78 acres into 4 lots, one in the C-2 General Commercial Zone (south of Yonezawa Blvd) and 3 in the Public Zone (north of Yonezawa). The site is south of the existing High School at 803 E. Sharon Ave, from Jones Avenue to I-90, and described as Farm Unit 120 Block 41, Assessor Parcel #11-0071-000 & -001. The project has been determined to be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan, and the following development regulations are applicable to the project: Moses Lake Municipal Code (MLMC) Title 17: Subdivisions, & Title 20: Development Review.
The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on July 12, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, Civic Center, 401 Balsam Street. All interested persons are encouraged to attend and provide comment.
Written comments will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on the date of the public hearing. Persons
who want to be informed of future actions, or the final decision, on this proposal should provide their name and address to the project planner. The final decision on this proposal will be made within 120 days of the date of the notice of completeness and may be appealed according to the City appeal provisions specified in MLMC 20.11, Appeals.
