The Columbia Basin Walleye Club submitted an application for a Substantial Shoreline Development Permit  and C-R Zone Conditional Use Permit on March 5, 2012.

Notice of Application and Public Hearing

The Columbia Basin Walleye Club submitted an application for a Substantial Shoreline Development Permit  and C-R Zone Conditional Use Permit on March 5, 2012.  Additional information was submitted on May 23, 2012 and the application was determined to be substantially complete and ready for review on June 12, 2012.  The proposed project location is Blue Heron Park.  The proposal is to construct a public 20'x40' fishing dock connected to the shoreline by an 8'x120' floating walkway.  The dock will be anchored with precast concrete anchors set on the bed of the lake and attached to an 8'x8'x4' concrete anchor poured in the bank above the ordinary high water mark.  A hard surface path will connect the dock to the nearby existing parking lot.. The project has been determined to be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan and the following Development Regulations are applicable to the project:  City of Moses Lake Municipal Code Title 18 Zoning, Title 14 Environmental Regulations, and Title 20 Development Review Process; City of Moses Lake Shorelines Management Master Plan.

The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for this project at 7:00 pm, July 26, 2012 in the City Council Chambers located at 401 S. Balsam.  All interested parties are encouraged to attend and make comment.

Comments on this proposal from public agencies with jurisdiction and comments on the environmental impacts of this proposal will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on July 5, 2012.  Comments on other aspects of this proposal from the general public will be accepted up to the date of the public hearing.  Public comment may be provided up to the date of the

public hearing.  In addition, persons who want to be informed of future actions or the final decision on this proposal should provide their name and address to the project planner listed below.  The final decision on this proposal will be made within 120 days of the date of the notice of completeness and may be appealed according to the City appeal provisions specified in Moses Lake Municipal Code 20.11, Appeals.  For more information, contact Daniel Leavitt at (509)764-3749.  Submit written comments to Daniel Leavitt, Assistant Planner, City of Moses Lake Community Development Department, 321 S.
