MOSES LAKE - A Coeur d' Alene man was airlifted with injuries from a crash on state Route 262, about 20 miles south of Moses Lake.

Gary J. Todd Jr., 50, reportedly suffered head and shoulder injuries and needed to be extricated from the 2008 Volvo dump truck he was driving when it rolled onto its side Monday about 12:45 p.m., according to dispatch reports and a report by the Washington State Patrol.

Todd was driving east on SR 262 when he failed to negotiate a right turn and the truck tipped onto the driver's side, slid across the westbound lanes and came to rest, blocking westbound traffic, the state patrol reported.

He was transported by Medstar to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland.

The cause of the crash was speeding, according to the state patrol, and related charges are anticipated.
