Notice is hereby given that a Discretionary Use Permit application and SEPA Checklist received by Grant County on July 13, 2012 from Washington State Patrol (Designated Contact: Richard Duke, 8623 Armstrong Rd. SW, Olympia WA, 360-596-6003), were found to be technically complete on July 24, 2012.

Notice is hereby given that a Discretionary Use Permit application and SEPA Checklist received by Grant County on July 13, 2012 from Washington State Patrol (Designated Contact: Richard Duke, 8623 Armstrong Rd. SW, Olympia WA, 360-596-6003), were found to be technically complete on July 24, 2012. Grant County expects to issue a Determination of Nonsignificance for this proposal, and the Optional DNS Process in WAC 197-11-355 is being used. This proposal may include mitigation measures under applicable codes, and the project review process may incorporate or require mitigation measures regardless of whether an EIS is prepared. This may
be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal and the proposed mitigation measures. A copy of the subsequent threshold determination may be obtained
upon request. PROPOSED MITIGATION MEASURES: None. PROJECT: A Discretionary Use Review and SEPA Checklist to enable the replacement of an existing 50 ft. radio tower at the Beverly Butte Radio Tower site with a new 100 ft. tower on a 5-acre parcel in the Agriculture zoning district of Grant County. The purpose of construction is to increase the range of the Emergency Radio tower for Washington State Patrol. ZONING: Agriculture. ADDITIONAL PERMITS REQUIRED: Building Permit. STUDIES SUBMITTED: Geotechnical Study. CONSISTENCY STATEMENT: This proposal is subject to and shall be consistent with Grant County Code, International Building Code, and International Fire Code. LOCATION: The subject area is a 24-ft. x 24-ft. (576 square ft.) portion of Parcel #15-0150-000.The site is located approximately 6 miles southeast of Wanapum Dam, and approximately 5.5 miles north of the city of Mattawa, WA, and in the NW quarter of the SE quarter of Section 1, Township 15 North, Range 23 East, WM, Grant County, WA.
