Hoene, Wells go low in men's day golf competition

CRESCENT BAR - Jerry Hoene and Bob Wells shot matching net 62s to top the field at the Crescent Bar Golf Course men's day competition on July 11.

Hoene and Wells tied for first place in the second division. Tom Harris won the first division with 66, and Gordon Lennon took second place with 67.

The day's competition consisted of low net individually, most holes won in your foursome and KPs (closest to the pin) on hole No. 3/12, all by divisions.

Low net:

Division - First place winner is Tom Harris with a net score of 66.

Second place winner is Gordon Lennon with a net score of 67.

Division II - First place winner was a tie between Jerry Hoene and Bob Wells shooting net scores of 62.

Most holes won in foursome:

Division I - First place winner is Gordon Lennon with 11 wins. Second place winner resulted in a three-way tie between George Phelps, Don Wilson and Don DeMuth with 10 holes won each.

Division II - First place winner is Jerry Hoene with 11 hole wins. Second place winner is Joe Quintanilla with 9 holes won. Third place winner is Dennis Pihlman with 8 holes won.

Division I - Tom Harris at a distance of 29-2.

Division II - Jerry Hoene at a distance of 48-5.

Birdies: Bob Wells on holes 6 and 16; Don DeMuth on hole 11; Tom Harris on hole 6; Gordon Lennon on holes 5 and 15; Don McGinnis on hole 5; and Don Wilson on hole 18.
