Police, sheriff's office tackle tandem cases

MOSES LAKE - An 18-year old Moses Lake man was arrested Thursday night for assault.

David N. Crowell III, Moses Lake, allegedly discharged a firearm at two subjects just before midnight at the 1900 block of Peninsula Drive, according to information provided by the Moses Lake Police Department.

Crowell knew at least one of the two victims, who were inside a vehicle during the alleged shooting, police reports say.

The handgun believed to be involved was a .9mm Ruger pistol.

It was reported stolen during a vehicle prowl on Loring Drive in May 2012.

While Moses Lake police officers apprehended the suspect, Grant County Sheriff's Office were assigned to investigate the stolen weapon case.

City officers continue to ferret out information on the shooting incident.
