Reader upset with quality of city water

I believe I wrote you last year about our city water smelling like rotten eggs. This year, it's much worse. I mean it is completely gross smelling. Imagine trying to take a shower, brush your teeth - yuck - or actually trying to drink it. You try to hold your breath but it doesn't do any good. Our animals won't drink the water that is put out for them unless they really have to. We have resorted to bottled water, but that doesn't solve the bathing issue. And our water rates have gone up so much, in fact our water bill alone is twice the amount it was last year.  We actually have to pay for stinky water! And we aren't the only people on the block that have this problem.

I have read that the bacteria that forms from the sulfur actually causes a slime in your pipes and causes that to turn black and clog.

This is just completely gross and I do not see why we have to pay for this. Our whole yard stinks like rotten eggs. You pull into our neighborhood and one would think they are visiting Yellowstone.
