City not doing their job

There is a house across from Juniper Park in Lakeview Terrace that has been vacant for at least two years. It is all grown up with weeds and makes the whole neighborhood look terrible.

I understand that the residence belongs to a bank and they need to take care of this problem. When I called the City, I was told that letters have been sent out regarding this problem. They need to be fined if this mess is not cleaned up within a certain time, and that doesn't mean years. I am hoping the City will take care of this.
