Basin BBQ Bash turns into two-day event

MOSES LAKE – The Moses Lake Business Association (MLBA) is once again putting on the Basin BBQ Bash in LakeTown Landing, and it will be for two days this year.

Last year’s edition brought thousands to downtown to witness Pacific Northwest BBQ Association members compete in a number of categories.

The Basin BBQ Bash will take place on September 22-23. Third Avenue from Alder to Dogwood will be shut down to traffic and be filled with participants from the Pacific Northwest BBQ Association. There will be a car show, commercial and food vendors, live entertainment both days in Sinkiuse Square as well as a Kid’s Zone.

A couple new editions include a Wing Eating Contest, Taster’s Choice Contest on chili and pulled pork.

Entertainment for the event includes the Lake City Blues band, Bill Ecret Entertainment, as well as Solution Zero and the Saucy Hog Band.

The expanded beer garden includes local breweries: Ancient Lakes Brewery, Columbia Valley Brewery, Iron Horse Brewery, Rocky Coulee Brewery and St. Brigid’s.

Basin BBQ Bash is a family friendly event that will include a Kid’s Zone with numerous activities including Kangaroo Bounce House.

The Moses Lake Business Association (MLBA) is a non-profit organization formed in 1993. Its purpose was to stimulate economic development in the Moses Lake business district called LakeTown Landing and to promote the area.
