Time capsule being filled with Royal City history
ROYAL CITY - There is still time to make a contribution to the time capsule Mayor Mike Stark will bury Friday, July 13, at the Royal City SummerFest.
According to Stark, the capsule will be sealed at 3 p.m. On Thursday. It will be buried near the pavilion in Lions Park at 6:30 p.m. On Friday.
If you have any ideas for the capsule that would be unique to the community or at least indicative of life here today, you may contact the mayor with a phone call to 346-2026 or an email to mebastark@ifiber.tv.
The mayor and his wife have already stocked the capsule with numerous items. In 50 years, people will look back on some of these and laugh the way people today laugh at old crank wall telephones.
