Decision delayed on PUD manager leave

EPHRATA - The fate of Grant County PUD general manager Tim Culbertson could be decided as early as today. The PUD's board of directors deferred a decision after an executive session Friday.

Culbertson was placed on leave June 19, pending investigation into an unspecified personnel matter, after the board met in executive session at an out-of-town trade show June 17. The leave was extended to July 10 after the board met in executive session June 29.

Board chair Tom Flint said in an earlier interview that the board hired an investigator to review the personnel matter, and that the report was supposed to be delivered about July 6. Public information  officer Sarah Morford said she didn't know if the board had received the report by Friday's executive session.

Flint has declined to comment on the investigation or the allegations that prompted it, but said more information would be available after the investigation was completed.
