Moses Lake man stabbed while walking

MOSES LAKE - Grant County Sheriff's Deputies are looking for two men they believe were involved in a stabbing near Moses Lake.

Deputies were called to Samaritan Hospital Thursday night to interview a 29-year-old Moses Lake man, according to Grant County Sheriff Tom Jones.

The man reportedly claimed he was walking on Lybbert Drive Northeast near Airway Drive Northeast at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday night when he was confronted by two Hispanic males riding bicycles.

During the confrontation one suspect allegedly asked the victim, "Hey Homey. Where you from? Do you bang?" leading deputies to believe the incident was gang-related.

A brief struggle and fight ensued, during which the victim stated he felt a pain in his right arm, and following which both suspects reportedly got back on their bikes and rode away, Jones stated.

The man discovered the pain in his arm was from two stab wounds and went to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake for treatment. Jones said the wounds were not life threatening and the man was treated and released after the interview.

The suspects are described as Hispanic males, both in their early 20s. The first suspect is of medium build with short black hair and was wearing tan khaki pants and a black hooded sweatshirt at the time of the incident. The second is reportedly bald with a thin build and was wearing black pants and a black hooded sweatshirt.
