MOSES LAKE - One man and three male juveniles were arrested for suspicion of armed robbery here on Friday, Jan. 6.

The man, Christopher McCarrell, 25, of Moses Lake, was taken to the Grant County Jail. The three juveniles were taken to the Grant County Youth Services facility.

The incident unfolded at about 1:40 p.m. when a female resident at 3750 Denton called authorities to inform them of a suspicious vehicle in the driveway. She reported that several people wearing blue bandanas were approaching her home and that one was carrying a hand gun.

Grant County Sheriff's deputies responded and immediately detained people wearing blue bandanas, including the armed individual, and occupants of the vehicle. They recognized the bandana wearers as documented gang members.

In a detained 2003 Chevy Trailblazer, deputies found two juvenile females and an infant and toddler. The children were removed for their own safety, Sheriff Tom Jones said. There were two shotguns in the vehicle.

In the home, deputies found a .40-caliber hand gun with the serial number ground off. They found various drug paraphernalia.

McCarrell was charged with suspicion of first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, unlawful possession of a firearm and other crimes. The juvenile males were charged with suspicion of first-degree robbery and possession of a firearm.
