Flu season still here, health district warns

| January 28, 2012 5:00 AM

EPHRATA – The Grant County Health District is advising people who have not done so to get a flu shot.

“Over the past 35 years, February has been the month with the greatest number of people sick with the flu,” Public Information Officer Theresa Fuller said.

It's not too late to get a flu shot, she added. The shot is recommended for everyone, especially children under 2 and adults 65 and older.

“Unfortunately, there are some people who should not get a flu vaccine without first talking to a health care provider,” Fuller said.
