Willis Miller

Willis "Gene" E. Miller, son of Walter and Nallia Miller of Kansas. Born August 23, 1933 and died January 20, 2012. He retired from the Air Force in 1975 in Forks, North Dakota as a Tach. Sargeant.

He is survived by wife Phyllis LaMear of their 33-year marriage. They married May 26, 1977 at Grand Forks, North Dakota. Two daughters: Tammy Vickery and husband Christopher of Moses Lake, and Jeanetta McIlhone and husband Robert of Yakima. One son Shawn Jacobs of New Mexico, and five grandchildren: Joseph Eakin of Stauton, VA, Jonathan Eakin of Spokane, WA, Jake Eakin of Aberdean, WA, Christopher Vickery of Moses Lake, WA, and Austin Vickery of Moses Lake, WA.

Gene passed quietly at hom on Friday, January 20, 2012 with the dedicated and loving care provided by family members and hospice.

Gene will be remembered by all of those fortunate enough to know and love him for his quiet and unassuming nature, his generosity, both in thought and deed, and the wisdom he bestowed on them. Gene retired from the Air Force in 1975 after 20 years of service, retiring as a Tach. Sgt. Where he ran the flight line for bombers. He remained in Air Force Service for a further 30 years.
