DRIVING

Reader wants people to drive more carefully

This letter is concerning those of you who drive without your headlights on. I am rural mail carrier. I am on the roads you drive on everyday. In recent days visibility has been less than ideal, in fact it has been really poor. Driving lights don't cut it either. I make every effort to be visible to you. My car is cleaned off as best I can keep it. My lights are on. I use my blinkers and do my very best to make sure you know I am there. I have even called MAC dispatch to complain about the sheriff's vehicles (Hello! White on white I can't see you.) and the response I get comes across as why are you wasting my time. Moses Lake police vehicles seem to have the same problem. If I can't see you and I pull out in front of you, most likely I am going to die so please don't be that person because I really would like to live to see another day. Thank you and have a nice day.
