Vera Berneski

Vera Mae "Vic" Berneski, born in El Dorado, Kansas on April 14th, 1937 passed away Sunday morning January 22, 2012. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Kayser's Chapel. Beloved mother, sister, grandma, great grandma and friend went to sleep early Sunday morning and woke up with the Lord as well as rejoining her husband Paul Berneski.

Vera Mae was a long time resident of Moses Lake. She graduated in 1955 in Yakima, Washington. In 1961 she married Paul Berneski, and they purchased a home in Moses Lake to raise their family.

Vera Mae enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing with her family! She was also known to hit the local casinos from time to time. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her best friend and big part of her life in the past few years was her dog, Mugsy. All of her kids teased her constantly about how much she babied her dog. Mugsy brought her a lot of joy. Vera Mae was full of love for her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her brother, Richard Main of Spokane, WA; sister, Barbara Brookshire of Houston, TX; four daughters, Wendy Lucas of Moses Lake, Linda Cole of Ritzville, WA, Vicky Rutherford of Moses Lake, Paula Berneski of Moses Lake; two sons Frank Berneski and Jeff Berneski of Kennewick, WA; 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
