Engineering are requesting sealed bids to the Owner for the general

contract to construct Water System Improvements in Eltopia,

Washington.

Franklin County, the Eltopia Water Association, and Harms Engineering are requesting sealed bids to the Owner for the general contract to construct Water System Improvements in Eltopia, Washington. The Engineer will receive Bids until 2:00 PM local time on February 16, 2012 for the following project:

Description:

1.    Site clearing, grading, and foundation for reservoir and pump         house

2.    170-foot long x 12-foot wide gravel access road

3.    Reinforced concrete water storage tank, 20 feet diameter X 25         feet tall, including design

4.    16-foot X 20-foot concrete masonry unit pump house

5.    4 pump – 5 horsepower packaged booster pumping system

6.    4-inch and 6-inch ductile iron yard and pump house piping

    and all associated fittings, valves, and testing

7.    Electrical work for pump house, well pump, booster skid,

    reservoir, and site

8.    532 feet of 8-foot tall security fence and one 14-foot wide double

     vehicle access gate

9.    3,361 feet of 4-inch C900 PVC and 1,536 feet of 2-inch PVC

     water distribution lines with all associated fittings, valves, and

     testing

10.    1 Pressure reducing valve assembly

11.    26 domestic water service assemblies and connections to existing

     services

12.    Demolition of existing ground level water storage tank

The Engineer’s estimate for the work is $550,000 to $600,000.

The Owner requires the Project to be completed in 120 calendar days from date of award of contract.

Bid Documents: May be obtained from the office of the Engineer upon receipt of one of the following:

    1.    $100 for one complete set (electronic and hard copy of

         Specifications and Drawings),

    2.    $20 for a CD only (electronic copy of Specifications and

        Drawings), or

    3.    $50 for a CD and one set of drawings (electronic copy of                 Specifications and Drawings plus hard copy of Drawings).

Pre-Bid Walk-Through: There is a walk-through scheduled for Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 1:30 PM at the site of the proposed reservoir and pump house.

Bid Security: Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a certified or bank cashier’s check or Bid Bond executed by a licensed bonding company, in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid Price.

Bid Form: Refer to other bidding requirements described in Document 00 21 13 and Document 00 31 00. Submit your Bid on the Bid Form provided. Bidders may supplement this form as appropriate.

The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids not accompanied by bid security or data required by the bidding document or a bid in any way incomplete or irregular.
