Governor hopeful Hadian slates visit

MOSES LAKE – Shahram Hadian, Republican candidate for governor, will have a meet-and-greet at the home of Harold and Paula Hochstatter on Jan. 27, Grant County Republican Party Chairman Dani Bolyard has announced.

The get-together will go from 7-9 p.m. People planning to attend are asked to RSVP by calling the Hochstatters at 765-8164. Their address is 2104 Marina Drive, Moses Lake.

A new conservative radio show in the Basin, organized by several conservative groups, will begin soon on the American Christian Network, 93.9 FM, Bolyard announced. The specific date will be announced as soon as it is determined. Contact Chuck Yarbro Jr. or Peggy Bates for additional information.

Bolyard reminds party members that the Roanoke Conference at Ocean Shores will be held on Jan. 20-21. One of the featured speakers will be Steven Hayes, senior writer  for the Weekly Standard and a contributor to Fox News.

Party caucuses (for selecting the presidential nominee) will be held on March 3, Bolyard reminds. There will 19 pooled caucuses in Grant County, all starting at 10 a.m. Locations may be found on the GCRP website.

Bolyard announced that the county's Lincoln Day Dinner will be held on Feb. 18 in the ATEC at Big Bend Community College. Time and details to be announced.

The county convention, slated for April 7, will also be held in the ATEC. The state convention will go from May 31-June 2 in Tacoma. The national convention is set for Aug. 27 at Tampa, Fla.
