SOAP LAKE - Two men fled the scene on foot after reportedly crashing a vehicle into a Soap Lake hair salon.

Soap Lake Police, Ephrata Police and Grant County sheriff's deputies all responded to Division Street near Second Avenue Southeast Friday night at about 8:30 p.m. after a four-door Mazda passenger car plowed into Hair Masters, a business located on the northwest corner of the street.

The car was headed east on Main Avenue when it reportedly failed to negotiate a corner and hit the building on the passenger side, according to Soap Lake police officer Dustin Slaback.

The driver and his passenger reportedly fled the scene on foot but were located shortly afterward at a residence about seven blocks away, Slaback said.

The driver, 25-year-old Jesse Reeves, of Soap Lake, was arrested for vehicular assault, hit-and-run, property damage and reckless driving, Slaback said; adding it has not yet been confirmed if he was driving under the influence.

Reeves was treated at the scene for minor injuries and arrested and the passenger was reportedly taken to a Moses Lake hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
