GAY MARRIAGE
Reader disagrees with new law
The biggest issue before voters in not the homosexual union, aka "gay marriage." It is the usurpation of our voting power.
At least twice the governor and her puppets in the legislature have ignored what we, the voters of this state, have voted for:
1. The car licensing initiative we voted in
2. The "no" vote we gave to "gay marriage"
We are supposed to be living in a state and nation governed by "of the people, by the people, and for the people," not one of by "of the government, by the government, and for the government."
To paraphrase a wise observation by one of our forbearers, "evil triumphs when good people do nothing." When governments do not abide by the will of the people, this happens.
We need control over our governments' purse strings. We need to replace those who vote into passage what we, as voters, have said "no" to.
If homosexuals want a binding civil contract, fine. Just do not call it marriage. True marriage exists as a sacred covenant between a man and a woman.
