Johnny Lucas
Johnny Lucas, our beloved father, passed away on February 14, 2012 at the age of 77 after a long battle with serious illness. Johnny was born in Wilcox, Texas and grew up in Texas with his parents, brother and sister. When he was 18, Johnny enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He served our country for 13 years; stationed in places such as Kansas, Washington, Japan and Taiwan. Johnny was a Tech Sgt. and worked extensively as an airplane mechanic in the Air Force. During his enlistment he met and married Loretta. They had four children together. Although they divorced they remained close friends. Johnny remarried throughout the years, expanding his family to a total of 8 children, 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Johnny's unique sense of humor, his unparalleled intellect and his generous character will be sorely missed. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his brother and his sister. Johnny is survived by his children: Latanya, Johnny Jr., Lori, Jana, Travis, Jonathan III, and Terrance all of Moses Lake; and Mark of California; his half-sister Goldie of Oklahoma; as well as his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
We take comfort in knowing our father is no longer suffering and that he has been reunited with his loved ones who went before him
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 1:00pm at Grace Harvest Church in Moses Lake to honor our father's life. All are welcome to attend.
