The Port of Royal Slope (Grant County Port District #2) has

issued a Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) under the State

Environmental Policy Act Rules (WAC Chapter 197-11) for the

following project

Determination of Non-Significance

The Port of Royal Slope (Grant County Port District #2) has issued a Determination of Non-Significance (DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (WAC Chapter 197-11) for the following project:  Water System Improvements.  This project includes drilling a water supply well approximately 600' deep, constructing a pumping station, a 100,000 gallon water reservoir and extend the 12” main to the Hiawatha Industrial Park area.  The new well, reservoir and pumping station will be located on approximately one (1) acre of land located on Road F SW in Section 7, T16N, R26E about one (1) mile south of SR 26.  Pipeline extension is in Section 8, just off of Road E SW, 1/4 miles south of SR 26.

After reviewing the completed Environmental Checklist, the Port Commissioners for the Port of Royal Slope have determined that this proposal does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment.

The public is invited to comment on this DNS by submitting written comments to Cathy Potter, Executive Director at the Port of Royal Slope; PO Box 147; 130 Camelia Street; Royal City, WA  99357 no later than 4:00 P.M. March 13, 2012.
