MATTAWA - The Wahluke boys basketball season came to a close Saturday with a 58-44 loss at home against district tourney-bound Mabton.

It was a tough loss on senior night, when the program said good-bye to eight of its members and manager Miguel Molina.

"It was a good, hard-fought battle," coach Cody Marlow said. "However, Mabton got the best of us in the third quarter."

The Warriors were led by the 12 points of Jared Sabin. Rafael Mendoza added 10, Dario Prudente had eight, and Edgar Ledesma scored six.
