EPHRATA - Residents are invited to apply to serve on the five-person Grant County Horticultural Pest and Disease Control Board.

The current five members are up for re-appointment and county commissioners wanted to see if new citizens of the county were interested in serving, explained Barbara Vasquez, of the county commissioners' office.

Those interested must be county residents, own land in the county and be involved in the primary and commercial production of a horticultural product or product.

Appointed members serve two-year terms and are not paid a salary.

Letters of interest can be sent to: Grant County Commissioners Office, Grant County Courthouse, PO Box 37, Ephrata, 98823.
