Reader wants hearings for SB 6512

Hearings should be held concerning the proposed amendment to the present statutes relating to Moses Lake Irrigation and Rehabilitation District at places convenient to people that it most affects - the citizens of Moses Lake and surrounding areas. Our lake is the most important asset of the city and surrounding areas and to propose and promote legislation without being fully informed of all views is outrageous, at best. Legislative bodies are held in low esteem by the public in general and if a particular legislator promotes and sponsors back door legislation they should be held accountable at the next election regardless of their other accomplishments - SB 6512 proposed by Mick Hansen and Harold Hochstatter.
