Pacific Coast Canola adds to management team
WARDEN - Pacific Coast Canola hired two members of its management team this week for its Warden plant.
R. Bruce McTavish was selected as vice president of sales and marketing. He started work this week.
McTavish was last employed as director of sales and marketing at Viterra Canola Processing and gained work experience at BASF Canada, Wyeth-Cyanamid Crop Protection, American Cyanamid and Pickseed Canada.
He holds degrees in agriculture from the University of Manitoba and in business administration/marketing, from Red River Community College.
Stephen L. Starr was hired as vice president of seed procurement. He begins work at the end of 2011.
Starr previously was general manager of Inland Empire Oilseeds in Odessa. He worked for Great Western Malting Company and Froedtert Malt Corporation.
Starr holds a bachelor of science degree in horticulture from Washington State University.
Pacific Coast Canola is building its first Canola crushing plant in Warden.
The project remains on time and on budget, according to a company spokesperson.
