Reader's opinion differs from Archbishop's
In an editorial pieces in the Jan. 26 Columbia Basin Herald, Roman Catholic bishops stated that married, heterosexual couples raising children "make particular sacrifices and take on unique risks and obligations for the good of society," and this is the reason Washington state should continue "recognizing and supporting these mothers and fathers through a distinct category of laws." How is this a valid point when there are gay couples doing the exact same thing?
