Barrel racing club holds year-end banquet
MOSES LAKE - The Columbia Basin Barrel Racing Club (CBBRC) held its 2011 end of the year banquet Nov. 5 in the Huck Fuller Building at the Grant County Fairgrounds.
This years theme was movie night. Tables were decorated with buckets of popcorn and movies.
A slide show was presented throughout the evening with pictures of the members during our season.. An abundance of awards were handed out during the get together. Those recognized were Ryann Mitchell who took first place in the Lead line. Cassie Hinen came in second in the category, Zane McMillian and Josie McMillian placed third and Gavin Hickman, fourth..
In the Pee Wee Division it was Madi Baumberger who took top honors. Finishing second was Hanna Beeman. Third place went to Davey McMillian, and Naomi Yager placed fourth..
Riley McMillian was first in the Junior classification, Savannah Hinen, second, Hanna McMillian, third and Tayler Stevens and Natalie Yager rounded out the category in fourth place.
Jessica Bennett placed first in the Youth category, Kortni Tanguay, second, Tami Denies came in third and Tori Stevens, fourth. In the Senior Division it was Patti Walsh who beat out all competitors, Laurie Coombs was second, Kris Rogers placed third and Frank Holdren finished fourth.
The first place finisher in the Open category was Tami Deines. Second place went to Cassie Herrera. Claretta took third and Stacey Smith finished fourth.
The 1000 Novice winner was Patti Walsh. Ashley Moberg took second, Terri Gough, third and Shannon Springer, fourth.
Cassie Herrera and Keeva Kimble took the 500 Novice Division. The 250 Novice winner was
Nikki Umbarger. Second place went to Tami Deines. Ashley Moberg finished third and Darcey Hundtoft, fourth.
The order of finish in the 100 Novice was Cassie Herrera, first, Jade Thompson, second
Stacey Smith, third, Julie Nelson, fourth, Kortni Tanguay, fifth, Jessica Staples, sixth and Shannon Springer, seventh.
The Most Improved category went to Stacey Smith. Laurie Coombs received the Sportsmanship award, and the Service Award went to Jamie Quillan.
