MOSES LAKE - The Grant County Coroner's Office and Grant County Sheriff's Office continued Thursday their investigation into the death of an 18-month-old Moses Lake boy.

He died early Tuesday morning at a home on Shaw Street in Moses Lake of possible cardiac or respiratory arrest, according to the sheriff's office.

The infant, identified as Xavier Angel Ramirez-Perez, was unconscious and not breathing when someone at the home called 9-1-1 about noon on Christmas day, according to deputies reports. Chief Deputy Ken Jones said CPR was being performed when deputies arrived at the residence.

An autopsy was performed Wednesday, but the official cause of death has not yet been determined, according to Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison. Morrison said the results of the autopsy will likely not be available for a couple weeks.

Jones said he cannot release any more information about the case until the autopsy results are completed. The death is currently under investigation.
