Wanted man arrested

MOSES LAKE - A Moses Lake man was taken into custody on Dec. 12 after the INET and agents from the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force located the suspect in Moses Lake.

A Grant County Superior Court arrest warrant for forgery had been issued for Adrian Contreras Garcia, 29, of Moses Lake. He was alleged to have been using a fraudulent social security number.

Following the arrest, agents from Homeland Security (ICE) located a stolen 9mm pistol and a modified short barreled semi-automatic shotgun, which were at Garcia's residence.

Garcia is facing charges of forgery, two counts of alien in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a short-barreled shotgun.

INET is supervised by the Grant County Sheriff's Office. It is comprised of detectives from the Sheriff's Office, Washington State Patrol, Quincy Police Department and Moses Lake Police Department.
